About Anne

My motivation is summed up in “A Fun and Exciting Journey Together!” I am on this project for achieving something significant with a close community of friends; being authentic and creative in a career alternative that improves people’s lives and the environment; and walking in freedom and integrity. My interests include games and movies with family and friends, green and sustainable design, animal welfare, and of course great music!

Prior to making the big leap switching from customer to “Business Leader” with this natural products company, I worked for fourteen years in Industrial Engineering, Materials Management, and Manufacturing. MBA, BS Management Engineering. Resigned a great job for a greater opportunity to live in “the land of I’m glad I did” instead of the land of “I wish I had.”

Why did I take this path? I had such an eye-opening personal experience with the products from this particular company, supporting my body’s ability to recover from chronic bronchitis. So I started speaking up and sending people with various health or energy needs to my Distributor (and best friend, Susie.) Got hooked on the feeling of having a little something to do with other people getting eye-opening, amazing results on these natural products. That felt better than anything I was doing at my traditional job. And most importantly, I really connected with them being “a company with a conscience” and the mission of living in harmony with nature. I was either going to move to San Francisco and work for this company, or take on the fun adventure of becoming a Distributor myself.

So glad I did! Together Susie and I have so much fun and challenge working this business. I learn so much about myself and people, and of course the fascinating world of natural health and green living. Who knew the most enjoyable part would be developing relationships with such interesting people?

I love this challenge of Unpaving Paradise!  I love the products and how they make me feel.  I love the education I am getting every day – about health, about people, about myself, about business, about working with others to accomplish things I could never do alone.  I love the challenge.  I love that this business helps me to be a better steward of my health.

My first career was in professional theatre and I lived and worked in Boston, New York, and Washington, DC for over a decade in theatre before returning to Charlotte, NC.   I have also been active over the years in Pro-life work serving as President of the North Carolina Christian Action Council from 1988-1996 and coordinating the Charlotte Life Chain for 5 years. I currently serve on the Board of Feminists for Life.  I love that I have the opportunity to be involved in my church and other activities that are important to me.

 In recent years, I have begun to landscape and garden organically and it has become a passion. My goal is to have a native landscape with 4 season appeal and wildlife habitat.  Like Dr. Forrest C. Shaklee, I have a love for nature and all that God has created.  I’ve enjoyed endless hours of fascination watching wild animals and birds, as well as the 2 cats and 1 dog who let me live with them!   Together we are on a mission of Unpaving Paradise…
